Naked Vengeance has basically the same story as the slow moving "I Spit On Your Grave" which mas made a few years earlier. But this is much better than the original and offers much more than you would expect from a low budget exploitation film. Slick and effective direction by the ever resourceful Santiago, a fast pace, and a remarkable acting job by Dallas star Deborah Tranelli (who also sings the title song!) make this a movie experience you won't soon forget.

Future Nightmare creator and Scream weaver Wes Craven's film debut is a primitive little production that rises above its cut-rate production values and hazy, grainy patina via its grimly affecting portrait of human evil infiltrating a middle-class household. The story is adapted from Ingmar Bergman's The Virgin Spring, but the film has more in common with Sam Peckinpah's Straw Dogs as it charts the descent of a harmless married couple into methodical killers. Along with George Romero's Night of the Living Dead and Tobe Hooper's Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Craven helped redefine American horror with this debut--all three movies portray modern society crumbling into madness and horror. But, unlike his fellow directors, Craven gives his film an uncomfortable verisimilitude, setting it squarely in the heartland of modern America. While at times it's awkward and inconsistent, with distracting comic interludes, his handling of the brutal horror scenes is unsettling, and the death of the daughter is an unexpectedly quiet and lyrical moment.

This 44 minute film is quite the nasty piece of filth. It starts with a woman getting raped and then soon after someone breaks into her home and attempts to rape her again. She awakens and manages to stop the attack before it begins and, believing her masked assailant to be her rapist from 5 minutes earlier in the film, she knocks him out with a stun-gun and sets about keeping him as her torture slave for the rest of the 30 minute running time, burning his bare testicles with a blow torch, sticking syringes in his penis and other horrid punishment!

"Torched" was actually made by Ryan Nicholson,one of the FX guys on the grim "August Underground" series.The film is obviously inspired by "I Spit on Your Grave" and Abel Ferrara's wonderful "Ms.45". It's competently acted and the violence is extremely disturbing. The score by Necrophagia, Macabre and Necro is awesome and perfectly captures the nihilistic feeling of the film. "Torched" is even better than "August Underground's Mordum",but you'll need an iron stomach to watch it.

Assuming that the men in white sheets aren't intent on holding a fair and impartial trial, Garth takes to the woods as the Klansmen lynching party hunts him down.

The story is set in Atoka County, Alabama, where race relations are balanced on a knife edge. The rape of a white woman by a black man triggers off a campaign of Ku Klux Klan violence, including the castration of a black youth, which in turn leads to retaliation by black extremists such as O.J. Simpson. Thrown into the struggles are Lee Marvin (the town sherriff who knows that racism is bad but tolerates it in order to cling to a degree of order) and Richard Burton (a landowner who sympathises with blacks, but is haunted by memories of what the Klan did to his grand father).

The film contains at least one unwatchable rape scene and some tasteless dialogue. It also suffers because Burton is so clearly miscast as a southern sympathiser (his accent is dodgy and he seems disinterested in the story). However, it takes a highly charged theme and deals with it interestingly and provocatively. The violence jolts you out of your chair and forces you to think about the two sides of the argument. The climax is memorable and leaves you feeling empty and sick, especially at the waste of life caused by the single-minded, lethal actions of racist extremists.

In the beginning of the movie you see a woman getting raped by a man-creature of some sort. The movie takes place years later when the child that was a result of that rape is on the rampage looking for a girl to rape to start the process all over again.

Bibi Besch is raped by a monster on a Southern road, and 17 years later, her son (very convincing Paul Clemens) begins showing signs of change. Pretty soon, he's rampaging through a small town of Nioba killing people, and (in an excellent transformation scene) changing into a slimy fanged beast. The acting is great, the music is really spooky, and the special effects by Thomas R.Burman ("Prophecy","Invasion of the Body Snatchers") are simply outstanding. Tom Holland ("Fright Night") wrote the screenplay from an Edward Levy novel. Director Philippe Mora creates a fair amount of suspense and atmosphere, and there's enough gore and violence to satisfy all the gore hounds. So if you like horror genre, check out this gory shocker. Cult classic indeed!

"The Chateau, often called Chateau of Discipline, is one hell of a callous film that utterly deserves roughie status. It is the final film on the box set, and after the brilliantly disturbing, but shortened, Love Slaves, I thought The Chateau wouldn't hold up as much and deliver the goods. But not only did it continue the deservedly labelled depravity found within this box set, it also surprised me with its scenes of brutal sex and bondage-themed torture. Straight from the debauched pages of the ******* De Sade, the sadism from the Chateau made me feel dirty and slimy with sweat - one of those rare films that requires you to shower yourself off afterwards, although you might need a chainsaw to get the filth off this time.

We begin with a drunken excuse for a man wandering the grubby streets, hunting for food and stealing alcohol from black dudes. He talks to us via his thoughts, explaining how he nearly had it all. He confides that he fell in love with a woman called Tracy, a woman that came to the chateau like every other woman in hopes of fulfilling her dreams of fame and fortune. He goes even further, explaining that he is on the run from the authorities while principally concealing the brutal criminal activity that he lauded inside the brutal walls of the chateau. The narration by the drunk suddenly ceases and so the story begins?��

Tracy, a delicious blonde wearing high black boots and a sexy red blouse, stops off at the chateau. The chateau is a huge white building surrounded by a wilderness of palm trees as if in an unsuccessful attempt to hide itself from the city in close proximity. Tracy ambles her way up the steps to the grand front door. She is let inside by the baron and is then led into his study. She is interviewed, asked questions about her previous experiences of being a model whilst her body is examined thoroughly by the baron. The baron asks her to take off her clothing. She obliges and soon flees in terror as the baron mauls her pussy and thighs. As soon as she discovers the front door locked, two masked men wearing nothing but black sneak down the staircase to abduct her and take her upstairs where many more women are tied up?��

Tracy is handcuffed to a table by the two men who then violate her, rape her, abuse her, slap her, degrade her, and whip her. She screams and pleads to be released, but her cries are ignored and turn-on the masked men even further. They laugh at her. The rapists rough fuck her and attempt to bully her into give them blowjobs. She declines and receives brutal flagellation as punishment. Her screams are authentic and the whipping is brutally real. You can literally hear the sound of the leather slapping her flesh like wet meat.

After the masked men - who are individually named guard 1, 2 and 3 - finish brutalising Tracy, they move on towards the other women already held captive. The women remain hanging by their wrists as they are repeatedly whipped. The depravity of the masked men seems to hold no limits. They force one of the female captives to rape a fellow captive with a painfully looking dildo. Each woman is constantly whipped and raped around the clock, and the masked men never reveal their faces.
Meanwhile, the baron and his sister gleefully watch through singular peepholes in the doors at the brutality within the many rooms of the chateau. They constantly check to see whether the guards are doing a decent job, and if they ever show signs of inertia, they are given a good talking to by the baron's sister.

The plot takes an interesting turn when one of the masked men falls in love with Tracy (the drunken guy from the opening scene). Tracy begs with her life to be released and the masked man promises her freedom after submitting to her incessant pleadings. But while the masked man falling in love with Tracy continues to abuse the women, he conjures up a plan to free Tracy from claws of the slavery ring she is being conditioned into?��

Sandy Carey plays the role of Tracy in The Chateau. You will find her in many 1970's porn films and low budget drive-in horrors. Cindy Adams - who plays the role of the sister to the baron - can be found being subjected to bondage galore in Nicole, The Story of O, provided on the previous DVD, and in a main acting role in 1974's Flesh Gordon.

The Chateau is decently acted film with a good twist to boost. The sex scenes are rough and rather uncomfortable to watch. The constant whipping and abuse subjected to the female victims is heightened by their genuine acting of playing a victim; the constantly authentic flagellation is severe and the screaming, although acted, expresses real pain."

Fine film that is at once ugly and beautiful. It is superbly shot and the imagery almost magical. From the silently falling snow lit by the streetlight to the manga like cropped shots of the lovely heroine, the movie looks lovely but there is a truly evil undercurrent here that does not reflect well upon present day Japan. At its simplest this is a rape and revenge movie but it is done with much style and whilst the violence is horrific, the real horror here is the way the original rape is referred to and the way the rapists feel they can revisit their victim for seconds. Not only all that but that there is tacit acceptance by those around her both at home and in the workplace is an awful indictment of a lingering rotten core festering in the outwardly attractive Japanese culture.
